Up there in the northern wastelands of Canada, about an hour north of Toronto, 53-year-old Anna Falco of Woodbury, Ontario struck it rich at a casino slot machine when she hit the jackpot on a $3 bet.

The casino, Casino Rama, paid out a record for a slot win in Canada at $8.9 million. Considering the current strength of the Canuck buck it’s safe to say that Falco will never have to go without maple syrup, she can afford new siding for igloo and will always have plenty of money to get her beaver groomed.

Falco had been playing the slot for about half an hour and had put in approximately $200 when she hit the jackpot.

According to a Casino Rama press release Flaco commented, “When we called our two daughters to share the good news, they thought we were kidding. One even called back to make sure we were serious."
