Jim Sturgess and Kate Bosworth will enjoy the fact that their steamy (and apparently drunken) love scene helped propel the blackjack-themed movie to haul in $23.7 M in its debut weekend, edging out Horton, which came in second with $17.4 M.

Also debuting this weekend was Superhero Movie which managed third place on the weekend with $9.51 M.

Meet the Browns and Owen Wilson's Drillbit Taylor rounded out the top five with $7.76 M and $5.8 M respectively.

Horton, the second place Dr. Seuss hit, boasts a number of all-star voices including Steve Carell and Jim Carey.
