Kelly J. of CA nailed the progressive jackpot while playing Caribbean Stud Poker online in the Bodog casino. We at the Beat gave Kelly a call to find out how she was feeling about her huge win.

So you hit a $141,000 jackpot. What was that like?

I couldn’t even believe it had happened. I was in shock. I’ve never won anything like that. And the dealer didn’t even qualify so I thought I hadn’t even won. But I guess with the progressive it doesn’t even matter.

What did you do when you finally realized that you had definitely won?

I took a picture of the screen with my camera. I really couldn’t believe it. I hadn’t been drinking or anything but I thought I was imagining it. And I grabbed my partner and said, “You need to come out here and look at this. I think I just hit the jackpot.” I just couldn’t believe it until I woke up the next morning and Bodog called me. And then it was like, oh wow, that really happened. I was in just absolute utter shock.

Well congratulations. We love it here when we get to call people who have won big.

Yeah, it’s absolutely wonderful. I feel blessed. It’s one of those things that happens to you and it really changes your life in the most profound way. You know there were certain things that I wanted to take care of but couldn’t and then suddenly this happens and it really… it really changed my life.

And I play at various different online casinos and when it happened I remember thinking, “Thank God it was Bodog.” Because it’s the only one I feel like, yeah they’re definitely going to pay this out. It’s not like they are all of a sudden going to be gone tomorrow. And I’ve got friends who gamble online and I told them, “You’ve got to stop doing anything except with Bodog because you can trust them.”

Do you already have plans for the money?

I’m going to pay some bills and I’ve got a sick friend and they were needing some money and I wasn’t able to come up with it and all of a sudden I feel like I can help them. Just really important things. It’s strange how the Universe has things happen at the strangest times. It really couldn’t have happened at a better time.

So how long have you been playing on Bodog?

Here and there for quite a few years actually.

Just casino or do enjoy sports betting and poker as well?

I play football every year except this year. For some I just can’t win a football bet this year to save my life. But I will always bet on big sporting events like the big horse races. You know, just here and there. But I’m mostly just into casino stuff.

Just Caribbean Stud Poker or do you play other games as well?

I stopped playing Caribbean Stud for a while and it was just strictly Let ‘em Ride but I wasn’t winning with Let ‘em Ride so just that I night decided to go back to Caribbean Stud and then won the jackpot on like my third hand.
