“In my world, you are either the hunter or the prey, and I am the hunter. Vegas was my prey. I tell my crew: Vegas makes it, Vigoa takes it.” – Jose Vigoa (Bodog Beat Image)

Jose Vigoa’s 16-month assault on Las Vegas casinos and armored cars was the stuff of legend and has recently been immortalized in John Huddy’s new book Storming Las Vegas: How A Cuban-Born, Soviet-Trained Commando Took Down The Strip To The Tune Of Five World-Class Hotels, Three Armored Cars, And Millions Of Dollars.

This week Bodog Nation takes a look at this larger than life criminal mastermind in the feature article Jose Vigoa: Las Vegas Criminal Mastermind.

At 13, Vigoa uprooted from his simple life in Cuba that revolved around nothing more innocuous than baseball when he was recruited and sent to the Soviet Union to join the elite Spetsnaz force fighting in Angola and Afghanistan. It was there that Vigoa would be molded into an elite commando with extensive training in surveillance and the use of automatic weapons.
