The Daytime Emmy Nominations were announced today on The View and The Young and the Restless took home 17 nominations in total, making it the most-nominated show.

The ABC soap drama Guiding Light tied with ABC's One Life to Live and long-running children's show Sesame Street tied for a total of 13 nominations each. The CBS show As the World Turns was next with 12. Meanwhile, Ellen took the most talk show nominations with eight nods, just ahead of The View who came in with seven.
