The nominations for the 2008 Academy Awards were announced on Tuesday morning, and No Country For Old Men and There Will Be Blood lead the pack. Both films were given eight nominations each, including Actor in a Leading Role for Daniel Day-Lewis and Actor in a Supporting Role for Javier Bardem.

Ellen Page, the 21-year-old actress from Halifax, Canada, in this year's surprise little film, Juno, won her first nomination for Actress in a Leading Role. However, she'll be up against veterans like Cate Blanchett, nominated for her roles in Elizabeth: The Golden Age as well as I'm Not There.
