Abbie Cornish Steps Out with Ryan Phillippe

Abbie Cornish and Ryan Phillippe have soft-launched their relationship to the world by getting cozy, but not totally making out.

Cornish was reportedly the cause of Phillippe's split from his wife, Reese Witherspoon, who found a text from Cornish on Phillippe's phone.

Now however, with Witherspoon in a serious relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal, the pair stepped out yesterday for an awards ceremony in Beverly Hills, followed by a night of jazz in Hollywood. Phillippe also accompanied Cornish to the Avalon Hotel, where she was honored as a breakthrough talent by Australians in Film. A source told E! the the couple was very close all night.
