Usually, it's only mildly shocking when TV execs spill the beans on which shows will be getting the boot and who will be coming back to their major network in the fall. But this year ABC's president Steve McPherson dropped a real bomb when he announced that the second-longest running sitcom starring Latino actors, "George Lopez", would not be not renewed, and it would be replaced by "Caveman". No, not Captain Caveman (though that would be just as cool), but a sitcom starring those lovable, yuppy Geico Cavemen.

George Lopez, the star of the show, is ticked that he's being replaced by a sitcom likely to be as thought- provoking as NBC's ALF.

In a statement posted by Defamer.com, Lopez lashed out at ABC and even whipped out the race-card:

"I get kicked out for a… caveman and shows that I out-performed because I'm not owned by [ABC Television Studios]… so a… Chicano can't be on TV but a… caveman can?" (Cue the Geico commerical where the cavemen are offended by Lopez's comments). "And…" Lopez continued, "…a Chicano with an audience already? You know when you get in this that shows do not last forever, but this was an important show and to go unceremoniously like this hurts. One hundred seventy people lost their jobs. TV just became really, really white again."

First of all Lopez, how do you know all cavemen are white? And secondly, your comments are the kind of cavemen stereotypes the show will fight against. Get all your odds from film and television in the Bodog Sportsbook.
