Adam Lambert Reveals Crush on Idol Winner Kris Allen

American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert will don the cover of this week's Rolling Stone, and in a revealing interview, Lambert revealed that he is indeed gay – news that is not shocking to much of America – but the real bombshell was when Lambert dropped the news of his crush on fellow contestant, Kris Allen.
Lambert revealed to Rolling Stone that he had a big old crush American Idol winner Kris Allen.
Apparently, during the show, Lambert and Allen shared a bedroom.
Lambert said, “They put me with the cute guy. Distracting! He’s the one guy I found attractive in the whole group on the show: nice, nonchalant, pretty and totally my type — except that he has a wife. I mean he’s open-minded and liberal, but he’s definitely 100% straight.”
Lambert said that he's trying to keep the focus on his music, not his homosexuality.
“I’m trying to be a singer, not a civil rights leader,” he said.
Lambert recently signed with RCA.

Why is this being reported as a "crush." Thinking that someone is "cute" is not a crush.
It seems inappropriate to translate Adam's comment that Kris is "cute" into "hoping for some Kris Allen action". No need to make their sincere friendship into something salacious. People are attracted to people they work with all the time and manage to deal with each other as friends and peers only. This is no different.
