Amanda Beard, known for her nude PETA ad, her nude Playboy pictorial and oh yeah, her Olympic medal swimming, has sued a tanning salon company in California, claiming it used her name and image without permission.

TMZ reports that Beard filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court claims ProSun posted the her picture on its Web site "to create the impression that Beard endorses ProSun products," and she is seeking more than $25,000 in damages.

A spokesman for ProSun claims the company took the photos of Beard in question at a charity event and has the right to use them as it wishes.
