On last night's American Idol, it was the end of the road for Michael Johns, who made a name for himself with Queen covers.
At the end of Thursday's live results show, which continued the Idol Gives Back theme, Ryan told Michael, who had been placed in the bottom three with fellow finalists Syesha Mercado and Carly Smithson, that he had received the lowest number of votes. However, in what appeared to be a surprise twist, Seacrest reminded everyone that during last year's Idol Gives Back week, all the finalists were given a pass and no one was eliminated.
Michael breathed a sigh of relief, the audience cheered, and then Seacrest revealed that Michael would not be so lucky. Ha ha. Ouch.
