American Idol's Kristy Lee Cook Lands Record Deal

American Idol failure, sorry, finalist, Kristy Lee Cook has landed herself a recording contract with Arista Nashville, according to OK! magazine. She is scheduled to release her debut album this fall.

Cook will reportedly be collaborating with Brett James on her album, the songwriter behind former Idol winner Carrie Underwood's Grammy-winning hit "Jesus, Take the Wheel." Cook's first single, "15 Minutes of Shame" will hit radio airwaves on Aug. 11.

Cook is the second Idol finalist to land a record deal. Runner-up David Archuleta has been signed with Jive Records.
