Amy Winehouse is starting a record label she is calling Oiy! Where's Me Crack Pipe? Lioness Records. The label's name was inspired by a lioness necklace gift Winehouse received from her grandmother, Cynthia.
Winehouse said that the first talent she's signed to her label is her goddaughter, 13-year-old Dionne Bromfield from London.
"The first time I heard Dionne sing, I couldn't believe what I was hearing…such an amazing voice from such a young girl. I'm just so proud of her," Amy wrote on her website. "I'm very lucky to have a record label. I've got all these people that I love, that are really talented — and Dionne is my number one."
The label will be releasing Bromfield's debut album, Introducing Dionne Bromfield. No word on when the album will hit stores.
