Angelina Jolie to Play Catwoman in Movie

According to U.K. magazine Female First, actress Angelina Jolie has been tapped to play the part of Catwoman in an upcoming movie.

The 33-year-old actress, who recently gave birth to twins, is said to be in negotiations with studio bosses to play the role. "Angelina would own the part," said actress Julie Newmar, who played the role of Catwoman in the Batman TV series from 1966-68. "My industry friends tell me she has already made inquiries about the role. I can understand how it would pique her interest. Catwoman is Batman's one true love.

"She is tremendously popular with women because she's both a heroine and a villainess."

Other actresses who have previously donned the black, leather cat suit include Michelle Pfieffer in 1992 for the movie Batman Returns and Halle Berry in 2004's Catwoman.

    Angelina would be purrfect to play "Catwoman", no doubt. I just hope it's in a Batman movie, not some silly outside movie like Halle Berry did. A BIG mistake. But, I don't think anybody can equal the pure sexuality and timeless class that Julie Newmar brought to her "Catwoman" on the old "Batman" TV series. You just can't touch Julie's sensual performance in that role. Priceless!
