Forbes has released its annual list – which ranks celebrities based on their earnings and mentions in the media – and Angelina Jolie has taken the top spot, while her other half, Brad Pitt, came in at No. 9. Jolie's net worth for the year was $27 million. Oprah Winfrey dropped to the No. 2 spot, even though her earnings were far higher than Jolie's at a cool $275 million.

Madonna snagged the No. 3 spot, followed by Beyonce, and Tiger Woods.

President Barack Obama came in at No. 49 on the a after he made $2.5 million last year from his two best-selling books.

"Obama is hands-down the most famous person in the world," said Lacey Rose of Forbes magazine. "His historic presidential run helped him sell more than a million copies of his books; he landed on many magazine covers."
