Avril Lavigne is Too Sexy for Malaysia

Canadian punk-pop singer Avril Lavigne might not be able to perform a show on the Asian leg of her tour. According to OK! magazine, Lavigne may have to cancel her stop in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

"It is considered too sexy for us," Kamarulzaman Mohamed, a representative of Malaysia's Pan-Malaysian Islamic party, told OK! "It's not good for viewers in Malaysia… We don't want our people, our teenagers, influenced by their performance. We want clean artists, artists that are good role models."

According to the Associated Press, members of the Culture Ministry will be meeting tomorrow to discuss whether or not Lavigne's Aug. 29 show will go forward.

    It's a good thing it isn't Hilary Duff or Mandy Moore performing. That would have pushed them to doing another 9/11 or a nuclear war.
