Avril Lavigne's Film Debut 'The Flock' Goes Straight to DVD

Even though Avril Lavigne stars alongside Claire Danes and Richard Gere, The Flock is not expected to do well. (Courtesy Bauer Martinez Entertainment)
Perezhilton is reporting another blow to Avril Lavigne, who has been having a tough time selling concert tickets. Her fallback career hasn't exactly gotten off to a good start as Avril's acting debut in the new thriller The Flock is going straight to DVD. Guess she better start peddling punk-rock t-shirts faster.
The Flock is the story of a federal agent (Richard Gere) who, while training his young replacement Allison (Claire Danes), must track down a missing girl whom he is convinced is connected to a paroled sex offender he's investigating. For her part, Lavigne plays Beatrice Bell, the suspect's girlfriend.

Avril's feature film debut was actually in "Fast Food Nation". Voicework, it was the animated "Over The Hedge".
