Bachelorette Jillian Harris Eliminates First Ten Guys

After being among those jilted by bachelor Jason Mesnick, Canadian Jillian Harris, the show's fan favorite, was named the new bachelorette.

During last night's two-hour premiere of The Bachelorette, Harris met thirty men who all tried exceedingly hard to stand out, as she was forced to cut ten after the first cocktail party. Harris, a 29-year-old restaurant interior designer seemingly has a clear-cut approach to her Bachelorette debut.

"I'm hear to find my soulmate, my best friend," Harris told host Chris Harrison. "Would I want to seal the deal with an engagement? Why not? Of course. This is going to be a wild ride. I can't wait."

Highlights from the show included Harris giving the first impression rose who became tounge-tied when he introduced himself to her. The show gave us subtitles for a British guy. And, there was some dance-offs.
