Billy Bob Thornton acted like a jackass during an interview with CBC interviewer Jian Ghomeshi when Ghomeshi referenced Thornton's acting career in the introduction to a segment about him and his band, The Boxmasters.

This displeased Thornton, who pouted by ignoring basic questions and often responded to questions with, "I don't know what you're talking about."

Billy Bob sat in silence giving one-word answers through the first half of the interview, but when Ghomeshi asked him whether he had a passion for music as a kid, Thorton got hostile, asking whether this was a question he would ask Tom Petty. After some prodding, it came out that Thorton was pissed that Ghomeshi had referenced his acting career while introducing the band and that Ghomeshi wasn't  taking him seriously as a musician.

"You were instructed not to talk about shit like that," Thornton snapped.

Ghomeshi held his ground well, explaining to Thorton that simply mentioning his past acting career was giving listeners a point of reference. The band then played a song, sans Billy Bob Thorton because Thorton explained, "I'm a drummer. We don't cart those around at 6 o'clock in the morning."

Hey Billy Bob, if you want to be acknowledged as a serious musician, showing up with your drums might be a good idea.

It's "Thornton," not "Thorton." Your articles seem to get it right, but your headlines don't.
