High drama went down in London yesterday! Blake Fielder-Civil faces a life behind bars if he's convicted for the conspiracy charges the police have brought against him. According to British reports, Blake was trying to pay witnesses to change their stories in his upcoming trial.

According to London's The Daily Mirror, their reporters had tipped detectives off to an alleged plot to halt a trial in which Fielder-Civil and pal Michael Brown are accused of assaulting a bartender causing great bodily harm with intent. It is claimed that the two would have paid the victim, James King £200,000 to withdraw his police statement. King, who needed metal plates fitted in his face after the attack, was filmed withdrawing his allegations about the assault.

Blake was arrested in front of Amy, who reportedly hysterically cried, "I want to go with him."

The "Mirror" reports Winehouse hugged and kissed him and repeatedly said, "Baby, I love you. Baby, I'll be fine."

Blake managed to shout back "I love you" before being put into a car.
