We all knew this was inevitable. Britney Spears can only be behind the wheel of a motor vehicle for so long before disaster would strike. And strike it did.

Britney, who was applying make-up while driving in freeway stop-and-go traffic, failed to notice the "stop" part and hit the Nissan in front of her, which in turn, hit another car.

TMZ spoke with the guy she hit, who claimed that before the accident, he was admiring the white Mercedes and the trashtastic chick putting on makeup while driving it. It wasn't until after she hit him at an estimated 10-15 MPH that he realized it was none other than Britney Spears. The man added that he wasn't sure if she was still putting on makeup at the time of the crash.
