While little sister Jamie Lynn Spears is spending her first summer as new mom breastfeeding, burping and changing diapers, Britney Spears will be busy recording a new studio album. According to US magazine, the mother of two's manager, Larry Rudolph of Jive Records released a statement on Wednesday that the singer "is spending her summer in the recording studio, working on a brand new album.

"She's working with a team of top-notch producers and songwriters and we're very excited about what she's accomplished so far."

Uh, "accomplished"?

"No album release date has been confirmed yet," Rudolph continued.

Britney's producer and co-writer Jim Beanz also added, "Britney is amazing. We never see anything but positives out of her. Everyone has personal stuff, but a true professional doesn't bring it to the studio."

Right, Britney is the face of professionalism. No doubt about that.

"She's definitely on the right path," Rudoph told US.
