Britney Spears, who cries out for help on a daily basis, was up to her usual tricks early Friday morning. According to reports, the flailing Spears was strapped to a gurney and taken away in an ambulance after the police had been called when Spears refused to release her children to Kevin Federline's bodyguard. Apparently when the cops showed up, Britney appeared to be majorly effed-up.

TMZ has all the pics and reports that Britney was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and has been put on a "medical hold," which is essentially a mental evaluation. Upon arrival to the hospital, Britney flipped off the paparazzi as she was wheeled out of the ambulance. She's no pop star. She's a rock star.

Word is, lawyers for both her and Federline have been hashing out the details of her breakdown in meetings and will be back in court at 1:30 p.m. today for an emergency hearing. Stay tuned to The Beat for updates.
