Chris Brown Arrested for Assaulting Rihanna

R&B star Chris Brown was arrested last night after he allegedly beat on his girlfriend, singing sensation Rhianna. Police arrived on the scene after receiving a 911 call early Sunday morning and found Rhianna with "visible injuries." She identified her attacker as Chris Brown, who had fled the scene. Brown surrendered to police last night and was charged with one count felony criminal threats and is being investigated for battery. Both Brown and Rihanna were set to perform at the Grammy Awards last night but both cancelled.
The Los Angeles Police Department reports that around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, Brown and Rihanna got into an argument in a silver rented Lamborghini (now impounded) after the pair left the pre-Grammy gala. Brown stopped the car in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Hancock Park where the argument turned violent.
Brown is out on $50,000 bail and has lawyered-up with high-powered defense attorney, Mark Geragos.
