Now that he's been revealed as a woman beater, Chris Brown is trying to appeal to the fans he can relate to – and is hoping to bust into the country music scene. (Just kidding, folks!)

Reportedly, MTV News is saying that Brown is recording a country song and might enlist some of country's biggest names.

"Maybe we'll see an appearance from Carrie Underwood or someone like that," said Robert Allen, a writer and producer who is currently working with Brown. "It's that kind of song."

Allen said the song is "just feeling like you don't want that dream to go away. Everybody has a dream and you're in it, but you wake up and you're like, 'Oh, my God.' You feel like you're still in that dream."

We're not sure about what sort of dreams Brown will be singing about, but we're hoping they don't involve beating the crap out of his girlfriend at the Grammy's.
