Brown appeared on the show alongside his mommy, Joyce Hawkins, and his attorney Mark Geragos. The exclusive interview will be aired in full on Wednesday, September 2 on CNN but the above link from the episode, where Chris says he doesn't remember serving Rihanna a knuckle sandwich, has been released and has been getting some media scrutiny. So much so that Brown is now going on the defense and has sent out a press release.

Brown says, "Of course I remember what happened. Several times during the interview, my mother said that I came to her right afterwards and told her everything. But it was and still is a blur. And yes, I still can't believe it happened because it is not me or who I am or is what happened like anything I have ever done before."

Just five days ago, Brown was ordered to keep 100 yards away from Rihanna and not to make contact with her for five years. However, Chris told Larry King that he intends to remain good friends with his former girlfriend.

Brown said he also plans to salvage his career. "I just need to prove to people I can be a role model. That's not who I am as a person, and that's not who I promise I want to be."
