Claire Danes, 29, and her boyfriend Hugh Dancy, 33, are engaed. The pair met while filming Evening in Newport, Rhode Island, and had been dating for over a year. Dancy graduated from Oxford University with a degree in English Literature and Language and has appeared in many films including Black Hawk Down, The Jane Austen Book Club, and most recently, Confessions of a Shopaholic.

At the Confessions of a Shopaholic World Premiere in New York on Thursday night, Dancy spoke about what he looks for in his perfect girl.

"Someone who's intelligent, somebody who makes me laugh," he said. "I know people always say a good sense of humor, but they're usually lying. What's most important is somebody who kind of has an independent life and ambition."
