No, it's not a terrible joke. Now, being hailed a "comic," Clay Aiken is slated to join the cast of the Broadway production of Monty Python's Spamalot.

Director Mike Nichols, who's been directing the Tony-winning quirky musical since 2005 said: "Clay Aiken is amazing beyond that glorious voice. Turns out he is an excellent comic actor and a master of character… This guy is not only a star, he is a lot more. We are lucky to get him for Spamalot."

Clay will play Sir Robin, the Not Quite So Brave as Sir Lancelot knight with a fondness for musicals, starting on Jan. 18 through May 4.

God help us.

I have seen him once before in concert and he certainly made me laugh. I think he will do great.
