Cloris Leachman’s new autobiography, “Cloris” won’t hit shelves until April 7 but the NY Post got a sneak peak at what’s inside and what’s inside sounds pretty raunchy.

Here’s an excerpt from the book that recounts how she ran into Gene Hackman while they were both working on different films in San Francisco in the 70s. They ended up dining together at her hotel.

"As we moved into the main course, it was as if a cosmic wind enveloped us. Some giant space magnet was pulling us together. We didn't finish the meal. We went upstairs, flew into bed and made love. It was epic. And the next morning, Gene went back to his film and I went back to mine. I haven't seen Gene since that night, but I remember well the feisty lad he was."

It’s great to know that giant space magnets were out there getting Gene Hackman laid in the 70s.

Eighty-two year old Leachman might be best known for her role as the landlady Phyllis Lindstrom in the Mary Tyler Moore Show. She has won eight primetime Emmies, one Daytime Emmy as well as an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in The Last Picture Show.

Our younger readers might only remember her from being on Season 7 of Dancing with the Stars or perhaps as the funniest speaker on Comedy Central’s Bob Saget Roast.
