CMA Award 2008 Loser is Jessica Simpson

The CMA's went down last night but among the esteemed country stars – except for Jessica Simpson, who released a country album this year. Simpson has had run-ins with Tony Romo's ex before and with Carrie Underwood hosting the festivities – well, Simpson was shut-out.

TMZ reports, "In a last ditch effort to save her career, the "Dukes of Hazzard" star released a country album earlier this year — so it would have made sense to make an appearance at last night's show. Unfortunately, the Carrie Underwood-hosted CMAs had no time to have Tony Romo's current girlfriend perform, present or sit in the bleachers, since they had already filled their ranks with tried and true country artists like Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and Lil Wayne!"

Big winners included Kenny Chesney, who took the coveted Entertainer of the Year award for the fourth year, while Brad Paisley and Underwood earned male and female Vocalist of the Year awards.

    carrie underwood is so gorgeious serious tony romo why didnt you work it out with carrie…he sooooooo downgraded with jessica…what was he thinking carrie is beautifull seems smart and kind, and she is successfull now how does he go and pick jessica hmmmm maybe he was horny and jessica was a sure bet to put out…this one really doesnt make sense i thought guys liked beautifull girls??? hmmm

    Ha,ha,ha! Loved how her dad used to have their paid employees write before the release that she was going to become a big country star and putting us all down. Well, well so now the truth comes out, the album didn't do well and she is being ignored! You fake girl, people just don't like you and your mediocre at best no talent being shoved down our throats!

    The show was boring & lacked personality something Jessica is not.
    Have you actually checked to see what Country Music entertainers were not at these awards? It may surprise you. I think Jessica is in a much better catagory of artists that chose not to attend this years CMA's. lol
