The women of "The View" were stunned when Damon Wayans told them what he really thought. In a move that most likely gave his PR rep a nervous twitch, during his appearance on "The View," Wayans took the side of Don Imus and also said that women should get back to fulfilling men's "basic needs."
Either this guy is jokes, or he's got some shoddy social skills.
"Freedom of speech, what happened to that? What happened to expressing yourself?" Wayans said in reference to Don Imus.
Wayans added: "At least I know where he stands. And you know what? When he called them nappy-headed ho's, I went, 'Wow, he's right!'"
Obviously, Wayan's comments were met with some contention. To follow up, Wayans then complained that women need to tend to men's "basic needs" these days.
"Women today, most women I run into, don't want to do the fundamentals," he said. "They don't cook. I make the money so she can make something to cook."
Co-host Joy Behar argued, "What if she makes as much money, though, and she says, 'You do the cooking'?"
Wayans replied: "Then we can talk. But I haven't met her. Beyoncé is taken."
Damon's comments were spot on
These comments come from from the man that tried to get "niggah" trademarked for his clothing line. Are you really surprised at this comment? this brother is crazy. im sure that if he called his mother a nappy headed ho this conversation would be a very short one. i guess i would like folks to just think for a short moment before speaking….that would stop half of the apologies that are given these days. it takes a moment to make a fool out of oneself and a lifetime to recover for some. I guess the next time he and his brothers make another movie we should all just agree with the mainstream and say "its mindless crap" and stay home…. after this is done to him a few times we shall see who will get back to the basics of uplifiting instead of making stupid comments and hiding behind freedom of speech.
