After all the yelling, crying, scheming and Lacey's creme brulee wrecking was over, Florida's 23-year-old Danny Veltri was the victor on last night's finale of Hell's Kitchen.

Danny overcame his opponent Paula DaSilva and earned himself a gig as head chef at Atlantic City's Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa as well as $250,000 in cold hard cash. Danny will work under chef Stephen Kalt at the resort's Italian eatery, Fornelletti.

Both Danny and Paula had been the show's frontrunners throughout the show, rarely getting rattled and almost always producing more superior food than their fellow contestants.

Of course, for the final epidsode, those who had previously been booted from Hell's Kitchen returned for the final service – and Paula got stuck with the useless Lacey, who immediately started work by curdling the creme brulee. Danny's kitchen moved a little more smoothly than Paula's and his blue team finished first, although Ramsay had said that speed was not a factor in his decision.

"Yeah! I won! I won!" Danny shouted as he jumped wildly after walking through the door. "Yeah! Woo-hoo! Yeah! Yes!"

"Danny won Hell's Kitchen because in a very short period of time he grew more than any other chef I've ever seen.  He now has the talent and the maturity to become a great head chef," Gordon Ramsay said.  "The Bogota resort should consider themselves lucky . I would."
