So the freaks came crawling out of the woodwork last night for the American Idol auditions in Salt Lake City, Utah. Though amongst the freaks, were a few shining stars which included a amazing singer from a pretty famous family.
David Osmond, from the famous Osmond family, will most likely become one of the top 20 to make it on the show. He's got the look, the voice and – well, that famous name doesn't hurt. He's also got a sad story, which Idol producers tend to salivate over. Osmond and his father have both been fighting the neurological disease Multiple Sclerosis – an especially sad stroke of luck as children of a patient with MS only have a 1 to 4 percent chance of having the disease passed to them.
David is the 29-year-old son of Alan Osmond, the oldest brother in the original singing act that gave us Donny and Marie. Although he earned a golden ticket to Hollywood, judge Simon Cowell wasn't blown away. Cowell thought Osmond could be a little more contemporary. Do you think Osmond will make it to the top 20?
