This just in: Don Imus isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. As you may all remember, Imus was fired last year after he referred to the Rutgers women's basketball team as "nappy-headed hos." You think he'd be watching his P's, Q's and ho's — but folks, he ain't that bright. The shock jock shocked America all over again when Imus inquired about the race of NFL cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones upon hearing about Jones' rap sheet.
"What color is he?" Imus asked his co-host. After being told he was African-American, he said, "Well, there you go."
And what's a Don Imus racist remark without an Al Sharpton response?
"It has been reported to me that statements were made by Mr. Imus this morning and National Action Network has monitored his show since his return. I find the inference of his remark disturbing because it plays into stereotypes. Any use of stereotypes is always counterproductive. We will determine in the next day or so whether or not his remark warrants direct action on our part as we did in April of last year."
Imus had defended his remark citing sarcasm. Imus explained on his radio show this morning that he was making a point.
Imus said, "What people should be outraged about is that they arrest blacks for no reason. I mean, there's no reason to arrest this kid six times."
