DUI Charges Dismissed for Heather Locklear

Heather Locklear dodged a major bullet today when a judge dismissed her DUI case and allowed her to plead to a lesser charge, reckless driving. Locklear will serve three years informal probation, pay a $700 fine, and attend a 12-hour drug education course.

Locklear was arrested in Santa Barbara back in September after police received a call about an erratic driver. Locklear's case was slightly different than most DUI cases, as no alcohol was involved. After she was pulled over, it was concluded that she was under the influence of multiple prescription medications.

Heather's ex, Richie Sambora had been arrested for DUI just months before her own arrest.
