Johnny Carson's "Tonight Show" sidekick and Publisher's Clearing House king Ed McMahon is on the verge of losing his multi-million-dollar Beverly Hills mansion. The 85-year-old and his wife, Pamela, may find themselves displaced very soon, according to reports.
With the U.S. mortgage crises affecting everyone, those who have enjoyed the luxuries of the high life have also found themselves in trouble.
The Wall Street Journal reported that McMahon was $644,000 in arrears on a $4.8 million loan for his six-bedroom home.
Howard Bragman, a spokesman for McMahon, said late Tuesday that his client is having "very fruitful discussions" with the lender and hopes to find a resolution.
Reportedly, McMahon hasn't been able to work because he broke his neck 18 months ago. McMahon's lender, Countrywide Financial, has not issued a statement.
