On New Year's Day, actor Eddie Murphy married film producer Tracey Edmonds on a private island off Bora Bora in French Polynesia. The couple, who started dating last fall and were engaged in July, were wed in front of 25 friends and family.

According to People Magazine, Edmonds walked barefoot down the aisle in a custom-designed form-fitting dress to Gladys Knight's "Makings of You." Murphy wore a cream colored suit. The sunset ceremony was designed by Colin Cowie, who apparently created a gazebo on the beach made out of 6,000 shells.
