Whereas most singing legends would turn their noses up at the mere idea of singing some karaoke, Eddie Vedder seems to have embraced the opportunity.
The above video shows Vedder’s karaoke rendition of U2’s “Where the Streets Have No Name” which took place at the Best Western Dobson Ranch Inn, where he was staying. Vedder was at the ranch to participate in a Cubs Baseball Fantasy Camp.
Say what you will of Eddie Vedder but one thing is for sure; he’s a man of the people. It’s pretty tough to sing karaoke or attend a fantasy baseball camp from the upper floors of an ivory tower.
In another Vedder Karaoke video, he sings along with his fellow Cub lovin’ campers with some “I Got You Babe” and “Yellow Submarine”.
Vedder’s karaoke jam served as warm up for the Pearl Jam front man as they are headed into the studio soon to record a new album which will be self-released without a label. In an interview with Rolling Stone Vedder said, “The new record feels good so far — really strong and uptempo, stuff we can sink our teeth into.”
