2: a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings
3: the guy above, eating his face

Eliot Spitzer is done. Good riddance. The man who made a name for himself fighting crime resigned Wednesday after his involvement with a prostitution ring. He left his not-so-adoring public with this:

"I cannot allow my private failings to disrupt the people's work."

"I go forward with the belief as others have said that as human beings our greatest glory consists not in never falling but in rising every time we fall."

Spitzer will be replaced by Lt. Gov. David Paterson, who becomes New York's first black governor.

As for Spitzer, he's got some serious ass-kissing to do on the home front.

“As I leave public life, I will first do what I need to do to help and heal myself and my family,” he said. “Then I will try once again, outside of politics, to serve the common good and to move toward the ideals and solutions which I believe can build a future of hope and opportunity for us and for our children.”

Ugh, what a douche.
