Elisabeth Hasselbeck: Sarah Palin Clothing Scandal Is Sexist

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is making some rather bold statements. (YouTube Video)

The View's Elisabeth Hasselbeck is under the impression that it's sexist to question $150K of campaign spending on a candidate's wardrobe. We at Bodog Beat still are not sure how this is sexist, but when we figure it out, we'll let you know.

Hasselbeck told the crowd, "Instead of the issues, they are focused, fixated, on her wardrobe. Now, with everything going on in the world it seems a bit odd. But let me tell you, this is deliberately sexist."

So question to Elisabeth: when John Edwards got bad press for his $400 haircut – what exactly was that? Edwards was rightly called-out for wasting campaign money on unnecessary superlatives, which is exactly what is happening to Sarah Palin.

Palin, who has been reluctant to comment on the issue, followed-up Hasselbeck's comments with this:

"This whole thing with the wardrobe, you know I have tried to just ignore it because it is so ridiculous, but I am glad now that Elisabeth brought it up, cause it gives me an opportunity without the filter of the media to get to tell you the whole clothes thing.

"Those clothes, they are not my property. Just like the lighting and the staging and everything else that the RNC purchased, I'm not taking them with me. I am back to wearing my own clothes from my favorite consignment shop in Anchorage, Alaska."

Elizabeth Hasselbeck rocks? For what? Confusing the issues and making even MORE false accusations to inspire hate? The whole point of bringing up the wardrobe issue was HYPOCRISY not sexism. Duh.
