An advance copy of Elizabeth Edwards' memoir, Resilience, was obtained by the New York Daily News and in it, Edwards spills the beans about her husband's affair.
Apparently, John Edwards fessed up to his affair with videographer Rielle Hunter in 2006, just days after he announced his bid to run for presidency. She says she wanted him to drop out of the race to protect their family from the impending media fallout, but stood by his side anyway. Elizabeth writes that the news of her husband's affair made her vomit.
Hunter is a Santa Barbara-based blonde divorcée, who wound up becoming pregnant and having a daughter with Edwards. In the book, although Edwards does not name Hunter by name, she does say that although her life may be tragic, Hunter's is "pathetic." Burn!
The National Enquirer broke the story of Edwards' affair and subsequent love child with Hunter in 2008.
Reportedly, Elizabeth is still with him.
