Ellen Pompeo and her music producer husband, Chris Ivery, are expecting their first child together. The Grey's Anatomy star was married to Ivery in November 2007 in a quiet ceremony at New York's City Hall.

"We enjoy our life so much," Pompeo said in the October 2008 issue of Allure. "We go to Europe and sleep in. So when I have the baby, I won't feel like we've missed any fun, reckless times together, like staying up all night drinking champagne and having sex until five in the morning and not having to get up until two in the afternoon. But I've got to get on it, because the clock is ticking."

A rep for the 39-year-old actress confirmed the “great news” to People adding, "They’re ecstatic.”
