Enchanted Casts Spell Over Weekend Box Office

Disney's princess tale Enchanted worked magic on the Thanksgiving box office, grossing $50 million over the five day holiday stretch.
The family friendly film, starring Amy Adams as a fairy-tale princess in modern-day New York City, became the second-highest earning film in history over the five-day Thanksgiving weekend.
Second spot at the weekend box office went to family reunion film This Christmas, which grossed an impressive $27.1 million in its debut.
Last week's number one, 3-D epic Beowulf, fell to third with $23.3 million for a total take of $56.4 million in two weeks.
It was followed in fourth place by Hitman at $21 million and Jerry Seinfeld's animated Bee Movie, which finished fifth with $15.9 million. The take for Bee Movie pushed its four-week total to $112.1 million.
Family flick August Rush was seventh with $13.3 million and Stephen King's horror adaptation The Mist, was eighth with $13 million.
Coming in ninth for the five days was American Gangster, which grossed $12.7 million.
Tenth spot went to No Country for Old Men which grossed $11 million over holiday frame.
