Oh come on now. It’s not all that bad is it? You can’t tell me that you haven’t enjoyed watching the odd American Idol elimination episode or the occasional So You Think You Can Dance performance number? Reality TV is here to stay, so you may as well jump on the bandwagon:

1. You get to watch people suffer in numerous ways, in pursuit of the almighty dollar.

2. You can start a pool with your friends to predict who will be the winner.

3. You get to see people freak out when things don’t go their way and their plans don’t work.

4. You get to see people stab each other in the back when they’re supposed to be friends.

5. Real life drama is better than scripted drama any day.

6. You get to escape the reality of your own life for awhile as you watch others.

7. You can imagine how you would react and perform in those situations.

8. You can get action on predictions in Vegas and online.

9. You’ll be able to keep up with the chat at the office water cooler.

10. They’re the only shows that you can count on not to be re-runs.
