Former American Idol showoff Constantine Maroulis may have struck it lucky, for once. The dude who stole the hearts of 14-year-old girls across the nation, then fell into obscurity (as well as on the above video) just earned a Tony nomination for Lead Actor in a Musical for his work as Drew Bowie in the '80s themed "Rock of Ages."

Our buddies over at TMZ have been diligently following Maroulis' career, which includes bingo nights and Greek Food Festivals. A Tony Nomination is a sure sign things are going in the right direction for the wannabe rocker. Way to go, Constantine!
