What a crazy, crazy couple of days it has been for the Heene family. However, is all this craziness a surprise to them or a carefully crafted scheme in order to position themselves for reality show fame?
This morning, the Today Show's Meredith Vieira grilled Richard Heene, Falcon's father, after Falcon had gone on Larry King Live and said that this was "for the show." During Richard Heene's explanation, where he said Falcon had just repeated what a news cameraman had said and was not in reference to the family faking the story for attention, Falcon hilariously puked.
It seems unbelievable that a family would go to such legnths to get national attention, but now TMZ is saying it might just be so. TMZ reports that the Heene parents, who had previously appeared on Wife Swap, had been pitching a show about their "wacky family."
Richard Heene apparently approched the producers of Wife Swap with the show idea, as well as TLC. TLC produces Jon and Kate Plus Eight, as well as stupid shows about stupid professions, including one about mall cops. Yes, mall cops. Do you think the Balloon Boy story was one giant hoax?
