Maybe the reason Owen Wilson wanted to off himself had nothing to do with getting snubbed by Kate Hudson. Maybe he say the final take of “Drillbit Taylor” and said he didn’t want to live through the reviews.

In its opening weekend at the box office, the panned comedy only finished fourth, pulling in $10.2 million. Wilson stars as a bum who steps up to act as a bodyguard and life coach for three bullied high school geeks.

Kind of like “Revenge of the Nerds” meets “The Karate Kid” without the humor or winning script.

Drillbit was way behind the box-office winner, which for the second straight week was “Horton Hears a Who”. The kids’ flick starring Jim Carrey and Steve Carell took in $25.1 million and has a two-week total of $85.5 million, making it the first bona fide hit of 2008.

In second place was "Meet the Browns", which has something to do with a single mother finding lost relatives. It earned $20 million in its opening weekend. In third place was another debut, “Shutter”, which is about newlyweds haunted by spooky pictures. It got $10.7 million in receipts.

Bet on movies and TV!
