Howie Mandel Hospitalized with Irregular Heart Beat

Howie Mandel was rushed to a Toronto hospital on Monday night, apparently suffering from an irregular heart beat.

"He did not have a heart attack," Mandel spokesman Lewis Kay said.

Mandel, who was in his native Canada shooting his new television hidden camera show, Howie Do It, was at the Sheraton Center Hotel when he called paramedics, who rushed to the downtown Toronto hotel and whisked him to St. Michael's Hospital.

However, TMZ posted a blog today about Mandel appearance on Regis & Kelly on Friday, where he admitted to being a hypochondriac.

Mandel is expected to be released today and is expected to resume shooting Howie Do It on Friday.
