Iliza Shlesinger made history when she became the first woman to win Last Comic Standing. This morning the 26-year-old Texan was on the Howard Stern Show promoting the Last Comic Standing Tour which she is currently in the middle of.
The tour consists of her and the three other finalists from the show. Shlesinger resisted what seemed like a temptation to bash the other comics but did admit that they seem to harbor some resentment over her winning the show.
Last Comic Standing is a reality show that sees a dozen up and coming comedians compete in front of audiences and judges in a battle to be, well, the last comic standing. For winning last year’s show Shlesinger received an exclusive talent deal with NBC, $250,000, a Honda Pilot and a guest appearance on Jubillee! at Bally's in Las Vegas.
Before Ilisa Shlesinger was announced as the winner, she spoke saying, "It feels amazing to just be here and be able to share my jokes with the world. It's not so much about being a girl, it's about being a funny comic."
