Iliza Shlesinger became the first woman to ever win Last Comic Standing last night when she took down first place of season six. The result came from votes she received from viewers based on her performance in the previous episode.
The 24-year-old from Dallas, TX will get her life and comedy career injected with some serious juice as her win earned her an exclusive talent deal with NBC, $250,000, a Honda Pilot and a guest appearance on Jubillee! at Bally's in Las Vegas.
Before the results were read Shlesinger spoke into the mic saying, "It feels amazing to just be here and be able to share my jokes with the world. It's not so much about being a girl, it's about being a funny comic."
Also, before the results were announced, runner-up Marcus said, "It's changed my life. To be able to have a future doing what I love and just being up on this stage and being in front of all these people and making people laugh is the greatest feeling in the world. Now I get to do that as my job. I love that."
We at the Beat are curious about what our readers thought of the comedic talent on the Last Comic Standing. Tell us what you thought and who knows, maybe we can get into an argument about it. Because that's what the Internet is for right? Oh and porn. Can't forget the porn.
